Ekadashi[Vriddhi Ekadashi — Day 2] Lord Vishnu begins cosmic sleep (Yoga Nidra) — start of Chaturmas Ekadashi spanned two consecutive sunrises (Type 3 — Vriddhi). Per Nirnayasindhu, this second day is the prescribed fast day so that Parana correctly falls during Dwadashi on the following morning.
